About Town

One of the joys of making Reading your touring base - and indeed one of the pleasures of living in the town - is the wonderful range of attractions which can be found within an easy radius. Such attractions include major theme parks (Legoland Windsor & Thorpe Park, Chertsey), acclaimed museums, heritage centres, stately homes and nature reserves - as well as main line access direct to the heart of London.

There are several live music venues in the town centre, lots of bistro 's, pubs and wine bars and a good choice of arts venues, including the renowned Hexagon Theatre and 21 South Street, which regularly feature a wide range of local and international talent from orchestras to fringe theatre. In and around the town you can also find top restaurants, multi-screen cinemas, casinos and nightclubs.
